The Legion and Operation Santa Send Gifts to Troops Deployed Worldwide

OperationSantaClausThe holidays can be a challenging time for Canada’s deployed men and women. Away from family and friends, the comforts of home may feel a million miles away. The Royal Canadian Legion is closing that distance by sending our well-wishes, and a little piece of home to every deployed Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP personnel in the days leading up to Christmas. The Legion gift package is our way of letting our deployed troops know that we are thinking of them.

The Legion has a long-standing tradition of remembering our military and RCMP during the Christmas Season as well as on Canada Day. This year, the Legion packaged up more than 2000 Christmas gifts that will be delivered to Canadian troops deployed worldwide through the CFMWS Operation Santa Claus program. Our gift includes a variety of healthy snacks, gum, dental floss, playing cards and a Legion travel mug.

On behalf of all Legionnaires, we send Canada’s deployed troops our very best wishes for a happy, healthy holiday season, and we look forward to welcoming you home.
