Thomas D. Irvine is a native life-long resident of Montreal, Quebec. Tom worked for TD Canada Trust before he retired in 2004.

COMMUNITY / VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES

Tom is a seven time past master of Argyle-Elgin Lodge # 7 GRQ. He is also a member of Montreal's Black Watch Association.

Tom Joined the legion's Ormstown #196 branch in 1988 and is currently a life member of Hemmingford #244. He has been elected to various positions at Provincial and Dominion Command levels. At the recent Dominion convention in St. John's NL in June 2016, Tom was elected as 1st Vice President of Dominion Command and has been appointed Chairman of the Dominion Command Membership Committee.

Tom was recently appointed Chairman of Canvet Publications. 

JOB EXPERIENCE

Tom served with the reserves, specifically the Black Watch [Royal Highland Regiment] of Canada, for 23 years and served a peacekeeping tour in Egypt with the United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF 2) in 1975.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Tom and his wife Paulette have four children, Jennifer, Wanda, Tom and Tim and have 4 grandchildren. His hobbies include walking and public speaking.

Tom was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden and Diamond Jubilee medals in 2002 and 2012 respectively.
